Play in a Day

A Fun and Creative Experience

Looking for a team-building activity or an exciting end-of-term treat? In just one school day, your students will collaborate to create an improvised play, tailored to your curriculum topic, theme, or story. Throughout the day, students will work together to develop a script, rehearse, and perform their own original production by the end of the session.

We provide comprehensive support, including teacher and student resources before the workshop, as well as follow-up materials based on the play created.

Cross-Curricular Links:

For non-English schools: If your students are studying an English poem, book, or play translated into Portuguese, or learning about a historical period connected to an English-speaking country, this is a great way to bring the content to life.
For English schools: History or Geography topics make excellent themes for a “Play in a Day.” Simplified Shakespeare is always a hit, as are Greek myths and legends. Citizenship class issues can also be transformed into engaging performances.

Candace ran drama based English language learning workshops at our summer camp. The children loved the improvisations and gained alot of confidence from the workshops. We look forward to working with her again in the future.
